Why did you join La Trinitaine?
« We first met Anne-Marie Petit and her team in late 2013. It was the family aspect of the business that attracted us immediately. We felt a sense of belonging straight away. And of course in Brittany, the very name of La Trinitaine stands for quality and expertise. They are rigorous in their choice of materials, and we set great store by selling good products to our customers.
We realised that La Trinitaine didn’t have a presence in northern Finistère and more specifically in Roscoff. At the beginning, staff members from the Petit family came over to get to know the area and assess the feasibility of opening a store. Because of our business experience, it all went very quickly and we first opened in Roscoff in July 2014. It all went so well that we decided to open another shop in Morlaix two years later. »
How is the experience working out?
« When we first embarked on the La Trinitaine adventure, we received a great deal of support, in laying out the store and ordering and setting up products, as we had little experience of this particular sector. We weren’t working in the dark, and that was really reassuring.
Today, the head office still responds very rapidly to all our queries. And we also like the fact that we can offer very local specialities, from small artisanal businesses alongside the main product range. If the products sell, we can pass on the information to the benefit of the other stores. The head office is always open to what we have to say. And so it’s now a real joy to come to work every day in our stores and be able to help all our lovely customers, while telling them the story of Lucien and Lucienne Petit and keeping their simple traditional values alive. »
